Thanksgiving Lentils and Italian Sausage

Maybe that doesn't sound super Thanksgivingy to you, but I assure you, this recipe tastes like an entire Thanksgiving meal rolled into one dish. Vegan witchcraft, I don't know. I halved it, and used a bit less tamari, and a lot less sausage. It honestly doesn't need it, but it's nice to occasionally bite down into a bit of it. Beware, it is for a large batch, you may want to adjust it a bit. (You will need more oil to brown the sausage then you will to sauté the onions and garlic). Saute the onions and garlic in the rest of the oil for 5 minutes, then add the tomatoes, tamari, and bay leaves. Saute for 5 more minutes, then add the lentils and broth. When the lentils are cooked, add the browned sausage. Stop by People's if you're ever in SD =] They're ridiculously nice, and have a ton of vegan food ready to eat.
